Chris Marchini is a quilt pattern designer known for his fresh, modern take on traditional quilting. After years of watching quilting tutorials online, he made his first quilt in 2018 as a Christmas gift for his mother-in-law. What began as a single project quickly grew into a passion that led him to design his own patterns and launch Rose City Originals.

Chris has built a strong online following across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, where he shares tutorials, fabric pulls, and creative process videos. He is especially known as “the dice guy” behind his Year-Long Community Quilt project, where a 20-sided die determines each block, inviting his audience to participate in the design process.

His surface design work brings that same playful experimentation into fabric, combining bold color with dramatic, gothic-inspired motifs for a distinctive, unexpected aesthetic.
