FAY NYE

Fay Nye is a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Shropshire, UK, where the surrounding countryside and natural landscapes inspire much of her work. Her designs often feature flora, fauna, and soft organic forms, shaped by a love of nature and the decorative traditions of the Arts & Crafts movement.

She is especially influenced by C.F.A. Voysey, drawing on his balance of simplicity and elegance, and guided by the idea of “beauty through craftsmanship.”

Her process begins with hand-drawn sketches or painted elements, which she refines digitally in Photoshop to create whimsical, character-rich repeat patterns. Fays work has been licensed for greeting cards, fabric, childrens apparel, and stationery, alongside a range of freelance collaborations.
