CLARA JEAN DESIGN

Clara Jean Design is a mother-daughter creative team, Shauna Little and Afton Harding, who blend illustration and design into original surface patterns.

Their collaboration began with a simple idea: team up and see what happens. From there, Afton developed a hand-painted illustration practice while Shauna taught herself Adobe Illustrator and deepened her digital design skills. Together, they transform their artwork into prints used across clothing, pillows, totes, and more.

Every design begins by hand, either painted or drawn, before being scanned and refined digitally in Photoshop or Illustrator. Their inspiration comes from the world around them, with Shauna drawn to impressionistic, Monet-inspired color and Afton influenced by her art history studies and appreciation for classical masters. The result is a body of work that is fully original, expressive, and layered with painterly detail.
